A new year - Like a new Big Chief Tablet

Welcome to 2011. WOW, don't we all like a fresh start.
I remember in grade school how much I loved getting a new Big Chief Tablet. All that fresh paper to write on. I always wanted to just write on one side. I hated it when the teacher wanted us to turn the page over and write on the back of the page. It was never as much fun.
Now that I think about it, God must feel the same way that I did as a child. He says His mercies are new every morning. No crumpled, smudged marks from the past to write over. He wants me to write the story of my life with Him on a fresh, clean page every day. Why then do I drag my past along with me into a new day?? I have no idea - but now that I realize what I've been doing, I think I'll just follow my Pastor's advice and just - STOP IT!
Yep, I'm going to focus in 2011 on writing on just ONE side of the page - clean, fresh, and able to be anything He and I desire.
